Head of Analytics [V]

Description

We recruit for a seed-funded EdTech company that teaches math to students in the US through its mobile app. The company is seeking a Head of Analytics to own its data from day one. You will start as a one-man show and later build and lead a team of analysts, BI developers, analytics engineers and data scientists. This is a data-driven role at the heart of the product: you will analyze user behavior in the app, drive product decisions, and present business insights directly to the CEO and the founders.

Responsibilities

• Build the company's analytics function from scratch, starting as a one-man show
• Analyze user behavior in the app and turn it into insights that improve the product and its processes
• Lead the product forward with data and take part in product decisions
• Present business insights to the CEO and the founders
• Build and lead a team of data analysts, BI developers, analytics engineers and data scientists as the company grows
• Work with the development team, which supports data engineering and ETL processes

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a lead data professional
• Proven experience building an analytics function from scratch
• Strong analytical skills: the role is at least 70% hands-on analysis
• Assertive and confident presenting insights to senior management
• Able to work under pressure
• Experience with mobile apps, in gaming or EdTech
